Default Bulldogs New Logo Announced

Bulldogs New Logo Announced
A few weeks ago it was announced the Bulldogs would have a new logo in 2010. Bulldogs Members were asked to vote on two designs the winning design was this:

There are six key elements featured in the designs of the logo:
  • The year the Club was established - 1935
  • The CB logo that represents where we were established was worn for 38 years (from 1935 to 1972)
  • The Bulldog Logo that represents the living creature from which we are named which was worn for 24 years (from 1973 to 1996
  • The Blue V's design that was the design of our jersey for 44 years (from 1963 to 1969, 1973 to present
  • The Shield represent a symbol of strong cover for when one attacks or defends as well as that of solidarity and structure
  • The word mark is clean, crisp and fresh; reflecting the values of the club especially responsible and trustworthy
The new logo will officially be commissioned into use in November this year.

Yeah but the dog looks like a softy compared the one used in the 80s and early 90s :( I wish we still used that dog in the berries logo. Now that would've been awesome!

I like it, but the dog does look a bit too happy.
Maybe a bit more agressive?

Kudos to the Dogs. A really good logo which acknowledges their history. Excellent stuff, the only thing I would change is to make the Bulldog look a tad more aggressive.

I like it though. Get away from those Americanised logo heads and go with this type.

Really classy logo.

I wish the Sharks would have something similiar like the one from the 70's to 96(the one on my avatar).

They were the best logos around.

I hate these crap ones from this decade.

NRL rejected the bulldog with the teeth because it was too agressive in their stupid minds.
Thing is look at the tigers and ells logo for example, the logo was pretty much in par with those.
But scum Gallop and mates seem to have diff rules for the dogs.

Nice logo. Looks more historic than modern, but great choice.

Maybe the bulldog was de-sexed after the Coffs Harbour incident.

It's great to see Canterbury embrace their history instead of forgetting it with the stupid Americanised logos of the past.

I just hope we will see a return to the more traditional logos as they truly were representative of their respective clubs.

The doggies should lodge an appeal with the Nrl and at least insist the other clubs whose emblems have "teeth" alter theirs as well.
I can see it it now "here comes the GUMMYdogs" otherwise.
