France will be without David Ferriol for Saturday’s Gillette Four Nations fixture against New Zealand in Toulouse after he was suspended for one game.
The Catalans Dragons prop has been charged with striking England’s Kevin Sinfield in the 72nd minute of last Friday’s game and given a one match ban by the Gillette Four Nations Match Review Committee. The incident was originally put on report in the game by match official Leon Williamson. Ferriol’s team-mate Jean Philippe Baille will be free to play however after the Match Review Committee decided that his sending off for a high tackle on England’s Richard Myler was sufficient. The French Federation have until 11am on Tuesday morning to appeal Ferriol’s punishment. source: rlef.com |
